Enfield Youth Services
We are currently enrolling for the second round of summer programs. These programs are open to youth aged 10 and up and will follow CDC and NYS Health Department Guidelines. These programs are run by our Program Manager, Eric Carter and take place at the outdoor pavilion of Living Waters Church (162 Enfield Main Rd.). Tuesday sessions will be followed by an online (Zoom) session from 3-4pm.
August 3 – 5 Iron Chef, Outdoor Edition Come test your culinary skills in a ‘backyard’ edition of our popular cooking program. We will use gas grills and cooktops to prepare favorite summer dishes. Don’t know how to cook? No worries! Come and learn.
August 10 – 12 Lake Life We will explore creeks, ponds, and lakes in and around Enfield to better understand the life they contain and how we affect it. The program will also include a potential outing on the Floating Classroom boat. Other activities include fishing and plenty of ‘lakeside’ games and cookouts.
August 24 – 26 Outdoor Adventures: Primitive Crafts and Skills In this version of ‘Outdoor Adventures’ we will learn how to start friction fires, throw atlatl spears, practice archery skills, rock drilling, rope making, and more! Come enjoy the great outdoors and learn some new skills along the way.
Aug 31 – Sep 2 Maker Space Learn about carpentry, basic blacksmithing, and pottery, as well as how to cast pewter and aluminum! Have a project you would like to try out? Bring some ideas and we can make them happen.
